David Nighteagle
The surprise for our final rally dinner was a flute performance by David Nighteagle, sponsored by Steve Casey's Four Seasons RV, who is a Roadtrek dealer in the Denver area.
His Lakota grandfather taught him as a child how to make wooden flutes.
David was raised in North Carolina, but now lives just outside Mesa
Verde. As part of her introduction, Carol told us that David had
performed before two First Ladies (Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush) and
was a featured musician at the Salt Lake City Olympics.
David

and storyteller extraordinaire and kept us in stitches with his
self-depecating style.

At
the end of his performance he invited us to accompany him. He started
with Max, an eleven-year old grandson of one of the Roadtrekkers. The
combination of flute with a drum has a very pleasing sound.
He then invited others to accompany him, playing a variety of musical devices he had brought.

the conclusion of the evening we were given a CD of his music, courtesy
of Steve Casey's Four Seasons RV, which sponsored his performance. We also purchased
one of his other CDs and enjoyed it immensely on our drive home.
