2005 Roadtrek Summer Chapter Rally

Wisconsin Dells, WI

Aug. 22-26,2005

Arriving at the Jellystone campground we were pleased to see so many Roadtreks. Usually when we travel, we see about one Roadtrek per day, on the average, so this was a nice change. I was told that 128 units had come to the Rally.

The opening social hour and pizza dinner. A lot of friendly people to talk with.

Rallymasters Bud Ruter, and Ken and Colleen Murray giving out badges to first-timers. Not shown is the fourth rallymaster, Bernice Ruter.

The crew from Heritage Chevrolet, a Roadtrek dealer in Tomahawk, WI. They hosted the Wednesday evening cookout.

Ken and Colleen Murray giving out door prizes. For you out-of-staters, they are wearing  Wisconsin cheesehead hats.

At the President's Luncheon (the food was very good!) people from the Roadtrek factory in Kitchener were introduced (they are the ones in dark blue shirts). On the far right is Jeff Hanemaayer, CEO, and third from the left is George Clements, who deals very effectively with our service calls and complaints..

We got to look at the new Roadtrek "Adventerous", which is built on the Sprinter chassis, and some experimental prototypes, and give our opinions to the Roadtrek staff.

Regional meetings were held one morning. This is the Region 6 meeting. Since the Rally was held in Region 6, it was easier for many from Region 6 to come to the rally, so they dominated the attendance.

Merlyn and Donna Hanson, from Neenah, WI. At most rallies you get a pin. From the large number of pins on the straps holding their name tags, I gather that they are enthusiastic rally-goers.

A boat tour through the upper Wisconsin Dells was a chapter outing.

The rock cliffs and strange rock formations created by wind and water erosion were very interesting.

A stroll through Witches' Glen.

It seems that, in the Dells, trees will grow almost anywhere, including on solid rock. Why do I have so much trouble getting anything to grow in our patio?
